Renovating homes has definitely taught me some lessons the hard way! Here are 3 mistakes I’ll never make again:

1️⃣ Saying ‘yes’ to trends just because they were popular…if it doesn’t feel like me, it’s not going in my house.

2️⃣ Jumping into projects without a clear plan. Winging it is a recipe for regret (and a lot of mess) 😏 Unfortunately I’m the best at this and I always wish I had taken more time planning out my projects. When I don’t, it usually ends up costing me more time and money!

3️⃣ Skipping prep work…sanding, taping, priming are so worth it in the end and prepping the right way will make your projects look more polished every time.

Can you believe it’s been 6 months since I installed this peel-and-stick tile? It still looks amazing!

This project went viral multiple times, and while some people were appalled that I’d use peel-and-stick tile on my walls 😅, the shares say a lot of you loved it too!

This was the ultimate cheap & EASY solution for my kids’ bathroom, and I have zero regrets. All you need is a pair of scissors…and if you want to take it to the next level, add a little caulk around the edges for a seamless, realistic look.

Proof that you don’t need a big budget to make a big impact!

The one update we’ll never regret? These floors.

The one update we’ll never regret? These floors. We chose @shopflooret in Kingswood Base, and honestly, they’ve been a lifesaver. With three kids and a Golden Retriever running around, I wasn’t sure how they’d hold up...but they’ve been amazing! Durable, easy to clean, and still looking as good as they did the day they were installed.

Definitely one of the best decisions we made for our home 🤍
