How I Designed My Client’s Dream Living Room
I’m so excited to share one of my recent client projects with you! This living room was designed for a new build, and my goal was to create a space that feels beautiful and welcoming, but also open and airy…the kind of room you walk into and instantly feel at home. Click here to shop this room!

One of the biggest focal points in this design is the gorgeous stone fireplace. We chose Viveo Volterra for the stone and paired it with Argos White grout. I love the texture of the stone and using the white grout kept the look soft. The mantle is from Urbandi and it’s fabulous!

The built-ins were crafted by our cabinet maker with a custom stain that matches the kitchen cabinets. Open shelving gives the family space to display decor, meaningful art (the print is a painting of the client’s father’s barn on the property!), and everyday favorites…while keeping everything feeling curated and calm.

For the floors, we used Mannington Chateau Crepe. I looked at hundreds of samples before landing on this one…the tone is perfect! The walls are painted in Sherwin Williams Alabaster, my go-to when I want a warm white that doesn’t feel stark.

Every piece in this room, from the stonework to the built-ins to the lighting, was chosen to help this family’s new home feel both stylish and livable. It’s a space that can evolve with them, whether they’re gathered by the fire in winter or opening those gorgeous sliding glass doors in spring and fall.

Designing spaces like this for my clients is such an honor…thanks for following along with my work!
